The Dennis C. Poeschel Award
For Outstanding Design
Dennis Poeschel was an internationally known photographer, wildlife game carver, and callmaker who passed away in 2009. His pieces frequented this competition and he was a big contributor to the National Wild Turkey Federation. This award is granted to a duck call maker who excels in the creation of artistic pieces in the decorative duck call division. The National Wild Turkey Federation is pleased to name this prestigious award in his honor and recognize a callmaker each year whose artistic approach to decorative duck calls should be highlighted.
