Frequently Asked Questions

Timing is important. We allow bid retractions but they have to be approved by an admin and are only allowed up to 10 minutes from the time your bid has been placed. (Unless we are in the final minutes of online bidding). Once you click the bid button to edit the bid, you will see a link to the cancel bid form. The time is recorded when you make this request, so do it as soon as possible. If the 10 minute window has passed, we will consider it based on how many bids have been received, and how long the auction has left.
Once bidding is turned on for owners calls, you can place a bid on your own call from 2 different locations. You could do a search for yourself and click on the bid button OR you could view the calls you have registered and bid from there. REMEMBER: You cannot place a bid unless you obtain a bid number. You may register for a bid number at any time.
All checks for prize awards or portion of sale of call(s) to call makers (if applicable) will be mailed within 3-4 weeks after convention has ended.
As stated in the custom call rules, The NWTF reserves the right to place any call in a different category than the one designated by the entrant if the NWTF believes the new category better fits the rules. Once a call has been changed to another category, an email will be sent to the callmaker informing him/her of this change.
New this year, we will allow you to judge your judge. If we receive a large amount of negative feedback on a judges scores, we will evaluate whether or not they should return for the next competition. Please remember, this does not mean a judge will be eliminated solely based on if you receive a score you do not agree with OR that we will alter the results from any contest that has already been finalized. The objective is to make sure the competition is fair from year to year. With allowing this evaluation from the callmaker, it provides grounds to re-evaluate judges to ensure they are not less fair then than they should have been.
After the judges have completed judging all calls in the competition, the scores for your calls will be released to you for you to see where you scored high and where you scored low. These results are meant for you to see where you can improve your technique and where you have mastered it. We will not release scores for any other callmakers call entered into the competition. If callmakers would like to release their scores to other callmakers, that is a decision only they can make.
Online bidding is turned on for callmakers at a different time than it is for the buyer. If you have any questions, please see one of the call making staff team members.
Photos uploaded will be monitored and approved/disapproved to ensure what is visible to the public is appropriate. We do not anticipate any problems but one must always be prepared.

You may wish to upload the photos early when registering OR anytime after you register your calls. You also have the option when to turn photo viewing on or off.

Callmakers who enter call(s) will automatically be given membership credit after convention for their donation to the competition. If you donate your call(s) at a 50/50 split, you will receive membership credit for 50% of the sale of that call(s) OR if you donate your call(s) at a 70/30 (pertains to certain categories only), you will receive membership credit after convention for 30% of the sale of that call(s) you donated. If you donate call(s) at 100%, you will receive membership credit toward the entire amount of the sale of that call(s). After convention, a report will be submitted to the Accounting Department and membership credit awarded to callmakers. This will REPLACE the need for an "In-Kind Gift Form." All local and state donations to chapters are submitted through your Regional Director at the time the donation is made. All RDs receive donation receipts with every banquet package and these donation receipts should be given to anyone donating an item to a banquet. The RD would then turn in what the item sold for with their banquet paperwork and this would provide membership credit to the callmaker. If you have questions regarding banquet/event donations, please speak to your Regional Director and ask him/her to double check their banquet paperwork and donation receipts to ensure you receive credit for your donation(s).
