Class Winners

The D.D. Adams Award

For the best pot call in the Competition

Adams was known as a friction call pioneer in the development of quality friction calls, He is credited with inventing the pot call in the 1970s and was also a champion caller on stage. Adams’ good friend George Fleischer is the man who actually invented the pot call; however, Adams was a machinist and was able to mass produce the calls. The quality of his calls helped raise the overall level of quality for friction calls in the turkey call industry. This award recognizes the champion callmakers who submit the best friction calls entered into this competition and is one of the most sought after awards that friction callmakers seek year after year.
