"Ben's Choice" original 1/1 design. In honor of the 250th anniversary of the country, I went with a patriotic theme. This is in reference to the story of Ben Franklin saying the wild turkey should be the national symbol not the Bald Eagle. That story is a rumor. He did not like the eagle because it prayed on the sick and weak, but it showed strength. When the first symbol was drawn up his daughter said it looked more like a turkey than an eagle. The call represents truth will always out way a rumor. The Carved eagle and Turkey represent a gram scale showing the weight of truth is heavier. The stand has carved turkey feathers on the sides. The front is a kite and key on which many people remember about Ben Franklin working with electricity. The box call is hidden inside with wood burned "We the People" and a Flag symbol that Ben designed "Join or Die. The box call is made of Box Elder with a Hard Maple Lid. The handle is carved as an arrowhead that is a tribute to my late father that passed away 2 years ago. We would go out and gather native American artifacts together.
