Octagonal trumpet handcrafted from blue dyed and stabilized Beech with a wide Gaboon Ebony spacer and ferrule. The call has a faux ivory oval mouthpiece with a matching octagonal lip stop.

More information about Andy Cobb

Andy Cobb makes unique one of a kind decorative turkey calls along with several styles of calls that are his own design. These “Hollowbody” calls include single side and double side box calls along with scratchboxes and baffled trumpets. He started making turkey calls around 2002 and it quickly became GhostBird Custom Calls. Crafting turkey calls and turkey hunting are Andy’s passion and he has been participating in the NWTF Grand National Callmaking Competition for many years and has received many awards for his decorative calls. Andy also won the "Tom Turpin Award" in 2019 for the best turned style trumpet in the hunting division and was honored to be inducted into the 2023 Grand National Turkey Competition Call Maker Hall of Fame.

User entered description: Hollowbody Scratch Box #11 handcrafted from figured Shedua with Gaboon Ebony diagonal laminations and a figured Black Limba soundboard. The call base is wrapped with leather bolo cord which is also used to tether the Shedua “Jet Slate” style striker with a slate playing surface. The combo also has a matching Shedua call conditioning compact with sandpaper. All three pieces have brass accents and the tether sports deer antler beads.

User entered description: Ball handled Scratch Box #39 handcrafted from Redheart & Yellowheart with a Mahogany soundboard. The call features Gaboon Ebony knapped native American artifacts. The call & matching slate surface striker have sound ports located behind the artifacts. The call & striker are tethered with leather bolo cord, matching beads, horsehair “turkey beard” bangles & knapped Ebony fobs. The call is displayed on a live edge Butternut display stand with a Patagonia Rosewood base.

User entered description: One of a kind Hollowbody baffled yelper handcrafted from Knobthorn Acacia. The call features a faux ivory dogwood flower lanyard stop & inlayed dogwood flower on the baffle. The faux Ivory mouthpiece sports an integral lipstop. Original artwork adorns both sides of the call which is displayed on a simple Mahogany base.
