I’ve lived in Northwest Tennessee all my life and grew up duck hunting the sloughs and bottoms in the area. I’ve always liked duck calls and started collecting them in the mid 1990’s. I’d always wanted to make duck calls, but due to the dust involved from a lathe, I never got into call making. When I retired in 2018 I started researching dust collectors, buying call making equipment and built onto my shop in order to start making calls. Having grown up in the same area as Tom Dennison, Glynn Scobey and Aubrey Headen I was always intrigued by Reelfoot style calls. I started making calls in April of 2020 and made my first Reelfoot style call a few months later. Call making is a great hobby and I have met some awesome people and made a lot of great friends during the journey.

The call has a brass band and it is signed, dated and numbered on the band. This is my standard call model and is made in the style of Mr. Zach Farmer. 	Division 3 Decorative Duck and Goose Call Competition Category 3: Laminated Call - Amateur User entered description: This full size Reelfoot style metal reed laminated Duck call is made from multiple pieces of walnut, cherry and maple. This call is completely laminated, including the insert. The call features a hand cut phosphorus bronze reed and is signed, dated and numbered on the insert. 	Division 3 Decorative Duck and Goose Call Competition Category 10: Carved Waterfowl Head Call User entered description: This carved waterfowl head call is made to replicate a Mallard Drake. It is a Reelfoot style metal reed call and is made from Walnut and African Blackwood. The call features a hand cut phosphorus bronze reed and it is signed, numbered and dated on the insert. It is made in the style that E. L. Quinn used a lot, with a hidden wedge block. It is painted with acrylic paint and comes with a call stand to display the call.
