I’ve lived in Northwest Tennessee all my life and grew up duck hunting the sloughs and bottoms in the area. I’ve always liked duck calls and started collecting them in the mid 1990’s. I’d always wanted to make duck calls, but due to the dust involved from a lathe, I never got into call making. When I retired in 2018 I started researching dust collectors, buying call making equipment and built onto my shop in order to start making calls. Having grown up in the same area as Tom Dennison, Glynn Scobey and Aubrey Headen I was always intrigued by Reelfoot style calls. I started making calls in April of 2020 and made my first Reelfoot style call a few months later. Call making is a great hobby and I have met some awesome people and made a lot of great friends during the journey.

	Division 1 Decorative Turkey Calls Category 15: Air Operated Amateur (Open) User entered description: This air operated turkey yelper is made from African Blackwood and resin ivory. The trumpet features resin ivory and copper inlays on the mouthpiece and the barrel. The call also features a stippled copper band. The adjustable lip stop is made from resin ivory and it also features 4 resin ivory diamonds inlaid into the barrel. The barrel features lots of stippling to highlight different areas of the call. This call is signed, numbered and dated on the band. The yelper also comes with a custom made call stand for display. Go to Entry #616
	Division 3 Decorative Duck and Goose Call Competition Category 1: Decorative Carved Call - Amateur User entered description: This Reelfoot style metal reed duck call is made from African Blackwood. The call features two carved ducks, fencing and lots of stippling to highlight the different areas of the call. The insert has resin ivory with copper inlays. The insert and wedge are both highly stippled to accent the different areas. This is my full size call and features a hand cut phosphorus bronze reed. This call is my 1st full size carved call that I have completed and it is signed, numbered and dated on the insert. This call also comes with a custom call stand for display. Go to Entry #617

This is the 3rd call that I have checkered, after much practice and attempts over quite some time. This is my full size call and features a hand cut phosphorus bronze reed. 	Division 3 Decorative Duck and Goose Call Competition Category 3: Laminated Call - Amateur User entered description: This full size Reelfoot style metal reed laminated Duck call is made from walnut, cherry and maple. The call has 27 separate pieces and the barrel, wedge block and insert must be centered and drilled perfectly in order for every laminate to line up. 	Division 3 Decorative Duck and Goose Call Competition Category 11: Miniature Call User entered description: This Reelfoot style metal reed miniature Duck call is made from African Blackwood. It features resin ivory with copper inlays on the insert. It is adorned in carved leaves and features 4 resin ivory diamonds inlaid into the barrel of the call. It also has carved leaves cascading from the top of barrel that are fully carved. The call is stippled in many areas to highlight the different aspects of the call. The call features a hand cut phosphorus bronze reed and is signed, numbered and dated on the insert. This is my 1st carved mini call and the shape is a departure from my normal call shape.
