This is a traditional solid body box call constructed of Blackwood and Holly with scrimshawed inlays on Camel bone and carved/painted medallions made from Moose antler. It features a carved, painted strutting Tom made from basswood on the front end of the base.

More information about Mike Houlihan

Mike is a member of the inaugural class of the NWTF Call Makers Hall of Fame. He holds 3 Best of Show awards for NWTF waterfowl calls and two NWTF first place awards for decorative box calls in the open division. He holds 3 Best of Show awards for waterfowl calls in the Custom Call Makers and Collectors Association of America competition. He's an avid hunter, fisherman and wildlife artist. He currently lives in Vancouver, WA, but spent his early years in Southern Illinois followed by Idaho. He and his wife have 4 grown kids and 6 grandkids.
