"Noisy Neighbor" This unique piece brings two art forms together. The print depicts a roosted, double-bearded gobbler as the sun rises. Little did he know that there is a noisy neighbor nesting in the same tree. The pileated woodpeckers are hand-carved and painted. Included in the carving are several turkey tail mushrooms on the side of the hand-carved and painted tree. This piece is created to half scale. This is my first painted canvas. 1/1 Original by Tim Oldham, Jr.

Other Information

More information about Timothy Oldham Jr.

I started making turkey calls in 2003. A few years later I realized I could put my passion of turkey call making and carving together to create unique one of a kind turkey calls. I feel very blessed God gave me the ability to create and share my passion with others through each one of my turkey calls and carvings. Each year I look forward to competing at the NWTF National Call Making Competition.

Category 3:
Decorative Box Call (carved and painted)

User entered description: “The Early Bird Gets The Worm” This piece depicts two life size poults strolling along the waters edge. Little do they know, beneath the surface of the water, a large bluegill is eyeballing the worm he has just gotten. Lucky for him, the early bird gets the worm. I designed this piece so that the box call is hidden inside the base. The box call contains matching artwork of the two poults, as well as leaves on the lid to tie the two scenes together. This piece is completely designed, hand carved and hand painted by me. 1/1 Original by Tim Oldham, Jr.
