While I Love my Turkey Family and they are so welcoming and supportive when it comes to my artwork, I still feel like this little Chickadee as she stares at the Feather in her presence. Although their colors are similar, the Chickadee dreams of being as Great as the Turkey one day!-Briana

Description: The pushpin call is built by Mike Lapp from Holly and Maple.
The artwork features a Trametes Versicolor (Turkey Tail Mushroom). There is a landscape scene of a Buck gazing upon the field of Turkeys. A hunter sits along the rocky cliff as he aims his rifle at a Tom. In the distance there is a setting sun that is depicted as a Turkey Tail. There is a Turkey Head and a combo of a wing/tail feather burned. There are Turkey Tail Mushrooms on top of the call and a little Chickadee that gazes down upon the Turkey Feather.
The Turkey Feather, Turkey Tail Mushrooms, Acorns, Pine Needles, White Oak Bark, and Leaves are all carved from an Eastern Red Cedar tree that was ripped from our yard during Hurricane Helene. The Chickadee was carved from Bass Wood. The Dirt of the ground is from shaving out the insides of over 80 Hazelnuts that were all cracked open by six squirrels that my family and I have rehabbed/soft released over the winter as they were displaced by the Hurricane. -Briana
