A few years back I started watching my dad fall in love with making custom duck calls and always found it so interesting and inspiring. Last year I decided to give it try making my grandpa a call for Christmas and fell in love the craft. I had my dad teach me the way of carving a duck start to finish. He would give me lessons on how to correctly carve certain aspects of the call. This call is my second call I have carved, as I thought about the design for this call I thought about home and these aspects of the call remind me of my dads ranch and all the waterfowl I would see on his land. I hope to keep this craft and tradition going on for more generations. And hope to create more calls in the future.
